RTI-150
RTI-150 is a psychoactive drug and research chemical that belongs to the phenyltropane class of stimulants. It is used in scientific research and has no known therapeutic uses in humans. RTI-150 is a potent and selective dopamine reuptake inhibitor with a complex pharmacological profile.
Pharmacology[edit | edit source]
RTI-150 acts primarily as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, meaning it increases the levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain by blocking its reuptake into the neurons. This results in increased dopamine activity, which is associated with stimulant effects.
In addition to its primary action as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, RTI-150 also has affinity for the serotonin transporter and the norepinephrine transporter, although these effects are less pronounced.
Chemistry[edit | edit source]
RTI-150 is a member of the phenyltropane class of stimulants, which also includes other research chemicals such as RTI-111 and RTI-31. It is structurally similar to these compounds, with the primary difference being the addition of a tropane ring.
Research[edit | edit source]
As a research chemical, RTI-150 is used in scientific studies investigating the role of dopamine in the brain and its involvement in conditions such as Parkinson's disease, schizophrenia, and drug addiction. However, it is not used in humans due to its potent stimulant effects and potential for abuse.
