Rashmi Sinha is an Indian-American entrepreneur and psychologist, best known for co-founding SlideShare, a hosting service for professional content including presentations, infographics, documents, and videos. Born in India, Sinha moved to the United States to pursue higher education. She holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Brown University, where her research focused on human-computer interaction and cognitive psychology. After completing her Ph.D., Sinha conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley.

In 2006, Rashmi Sinha, along with her brother Amit Ranjan and her husband Jonathan Boutelle, founded SlideShare in San Francisco. SlideShare was conceived as a way for people to share presentations and other professional content online. The platform quickly grew in popularity, becoming known as the "YouTube for PowerPoint presentations." Sinha's background in psychology and human-computer interaction played a crucial role in shaping the user experience and design of SlideShare.

Under Sinha's leadership, SlideShare became a vital tool for professionals around the world to share knowledge, insights, and presentations. In 2012, SlideShare was acquired by LinkedIn for more than $100 million, marking a significant success in Sinha's career as an entrepreneur.
