Collingwood Football Club[edit | edit source]
Shaw was drafted by the Collingwood Football Club with the 18th pick in the 1999 AFL Draft. He made his debut in the 2000 season but struggled to secure a regular spot in the team initially. Shaw's breakthrough came in the 2003 season when he played 19 games and was part of the team that reached the 2003 AFL Grand Final.

In 2008, Shaw was traded to the Sydney Swans. He quickly became an integral part of the Swans' defense, known for his speed and ability to read the play. Shaw was a key player in the Swans' 2012 premiership-winning team, playing a crucial role in the 2012 AFL Grand Final victory over Hawthorn.
Coaching Career[edit | edit source]
After retiring from playing at the end of the 2015 season, Shaw transitioned into coaching. He began his coaching career with the Sydney Swans as a development coach.
