Victoria (Australia)

Victoria is a state located in the southeastern part of Australia. It is the second-smallest state in terms of land area but is highly populated and urbanized, with its capital and largest city being Melbourne, which is also the second-largest city in Australia. Victoria is bordered by New South Wales to the north, the Tasman Sea to the east, the Southern Ocean to the south, and South Australia to the west.

History

The area now known as Victoria has been inhabited by Indigenous Australians for tens of thousands of years, with evidence of the longest continuous culture on Earth.
