Rick Genest
Rick Genest (August 7, 1985 – August 1, 2018), also known as Zombie Boy, was a Canadian artist, actor, and fashion model. He was known for his extensive body modifications and tattoos, which covered the majority of his body, including his face, giving him the appearance of a decomposing corpse.

Rick Genest was born in LaSalle, Quebec, a borough of Montreal, Canada. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of 15, which was successfully removed. This experience had a profound impact on his life and influenced his decision to pursue body modification.
Body Modifications and Tattoos[edit | edit source]
Genest began getting tattoos at the age of 16. He eventually became known for his skeletal tattoos, which were designed to make him look like a living skeleton. His tattoos were done by Montreal tattoo artist Frank Lewis. Genest's unique appearance earned him the nickname "Zombie Boy."

Fashion and Modeling[edit | edit source]
Rick Genest gained international fame after being discovered by fashion designer Nicola Formichetti, who introduced him to Lady Gaga. He appeared in Lady Gaga's music video for "Born This Way" in 2011. Following this, he became a prominent figure in the fashion industry, working with brands such as Thierry Mugler and appearing in various fashion magazines.

Genest also pursued a career in acting. He appeared in the film 47 Ronin alongside Keanu Reeves and had roles in other films and television series.

Rick Genest died on August 1, 2018, in Montreal. His death was initially reported as a suicide, but his family later suggested it may have been an accidental fall.
