Robert E. Wittes

Robert E. Wittes was born in New York City. He completed his undergraduate studies at Harvard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then attended Harvard Medical School, where he received his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.

Wittes began his medical career with a residency in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He subsequently completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Wittes later joined the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City, where he served as Physician-in-Chief. During his tenure at MSKCC, he oversaw numerous clinical programs and contributed to the advancement of cancer treatment protocols.
