Rolla is a city in Phelps County, Missouri, United States. It is the county seat of Phelps County. The city is located approximately midway between St. Louis and Springfield along Interstate 44.

Rolla was officially founded in 1858 and was named after Raleigh, North Carolina. The city was a key location during the American Civil War, serving as a transportation and supply hub for the Union Army.
