Ruth Rogers

Ruth Rogers, Baroness Rogers of Riverside (born 7 July 1948) is an American-born British chef and co-founder of the renowned River Café restaurant in London. She is known for her contributions to modern Italian cuisine and her influence on the culinary scene in the United Kingdom.

Ruth Rogers was born in Woodstock, New York, United States. She is the daughter of Dadaist sculptor Philip Guston and writer Musa McKim. Rogers grew up in a creative environment, which influenced her appreciation for art and culture. She attended Bennington College in Vermont, where she studied art and design.

In 1987, Ruth Rogers co-founded the River Café with her business partner and friend, Rose Gray. The restaurant is located on the banks of the River Thames in Hammersmith, London.
