Saeco
Saeco[edit | edit source]
Saeco is a renowned Italian manufacturer of automatic and manual espresso machines, coffee grinders, and related accessories. The company was established in 1981 in Gaggio Montano, near Bologna, Italy. In 2009, Saeco was acquired by the Dutch company Philips.
History[edit | edit source]
Saeco was founded by Sergio Zappella and Arthur Schmed in 1981. The company initially focused on the production of home appliances, but soon shifted its focus to automatic espresso machines. In 1985, Saeco invented the first fully automatic espresso machine for domestic use, the "Superautomatica". This invention revolutionized the home espresso market.
In 2009, Saeco was acquired by Philips, a Dutch multinational conglomerate corporation. The acquisition allowed Philips to strengthen its position in the coffee machine market.
Products[edit | edit source]
Saeco's product range includes both automatic and manual espresso machines, coffee grinders, and accessories. Some of the popular Saeco espresso machine models include the Saeco Xelsis, Saeco PicoBaristo, and Saeco Incanto.
Automatic Espresso Machines[edit | edit source]
Saeco's automatic espresso machines are known for their innovative features and ease of use. These machines automatically grind the coffee beans, tamp them into a puck, and then brew the espresso at the touch of a button. Some models also include a milk frother for making cappuccinos and lattes.
Manual Espresso Machines[edit | edit source]
Saeco also offers manual espresso machines for those who prefer a more hands-on approach to coffee making. These machines require the user to grind the coffee beans, tamp them into a puck, and then manually control the brewing process.
Coffee Grinders[edit | edit source]
Saeco's coffee grinders are designed to grind coffee beans to the perfect consistency for espresso brewing. They feature adjustable grind settings, allowing the user to fine-tune the grind size to their preference.
Accessories[edit | edit source]
Saeco also offers a range of accessories for their espresso machines, including water filters, descaling solutions, and cleaning tablets.
