Sam Berns

Sam Berns was an American teenager who gained recognition for his inspiring outlook on life despite living with a rare genetic disorder called Progeria. Born on October 23, 1996, in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Sam was diagnosed with Progeria at the age of two. Progeria is a condition characterized by accelerated aging in children, leading to premature aging and various health complications.

Despite the challenges posed by his condition, Sam Berns became a symbol of resilience and positivity. He was known for his motivational speeches and his participation in a documentary titled Life According to Sam, which shed light on his life with Progeria. Sam's positive attitude and determination to live life to the fullest inspired many around the world.

Tragically, Sam Berns passed away on January 10, 2014, at the age of 17. His legacy continues to live on through the work of the Progeria Research Foundation and the impact he had on raising awareness about Progeria and the importance of cherishing every moment in life.
