Sam Zien, also known as Sam the Cooking Guy, is a popular television personality and cookbook author. He is best known for his casual approach to cooking, often using simple ingredients and techniques to create delicious meals.

Zien was born and raised in Canada, but later moved to California, where he began his career in the biotech industry. However, his passion for cooking led him to leave his job and start a cooking show, which eventually became a hit.
