Sampo Group's main subsidiaries include If P&C Insurance, Mandatum Life, and Topdanmark.

Sampo Group was established in 1909 as a mutual insurance company. In 2001, Sampo Group acquired the Norwegian insurance company If P&C Insurance, which significantly strengthened its position in the Nordic insurance market.
