San Bernardino is a city located in the Inland Empire region of California, United States. It serves as the county seat of San Bernardino County. With a population of approximately 216,995 as of 2020, it is the 17th largest city in California. San Bernardino is known as the "Gateway to the Inland Empire" due to its strategic location at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains.

San Bernardino was first established in 1810 by Spanish missionaries and was named after Saint Bernardino of Siena.
