Sandra Lee (dermatologist)
Sandra Lee (born April 20, 1970), also known as Dr. Pimple Popper, is a board-certified dermatologist, skin cancer surgeon, and cosmetic surgeon based in Upland, California. She gained widespread recognition for her YouTube channel, where she posts videos of her dermatological procedures, such as the removal of cysts, blackheads, and other skin conditions. Dr. Lee has since expanded her brand to include a reality television show, skincare products, and a book.
Early life and education[edit | edit source]
Sandra Lee was born in Flushing, Queens, New York, and raised in Southern California. She is of Chinese and Singaporean descent. Lee attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology. She then went on to study at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she obtained her medical degree. Following medical school, Lee completed a dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.

YouTube channel[edit | edit source]
Dr. Lee started her YouTube channel, Dr. Sandra Lee (aka Dr. Pimple Popper), in 2010, initially posting videos of her daily dermatological procedures. Her channel quickly gained popularity, with viewers fascinated by the graphic footage of pimple extractions, cyst removals, and other skin treatments. As of September 2021, her YouTube channel has amassed over 6.5 million subscribers and 3 billion views.

In 2018, Dr. Lee began starring in her own reality television series, Dr. Pimple Popper, which airs on TLC. The show follows Dr. Lee as she treats patients with various skin conditions in her clinic. The series has been well-received and has gained a dedicated fan base.
Skincare line and book[edit | edit source]
Dr. Lee launched her own skincare line, SLMD Skincare, in 2017. The product line includes acne treatments, cleansers, and other skincare essentials. In 2018, she published her first book, Put Your Best Face Forward: The Ultimate Guide to Skincare from Acne to Anti-Aging, which offers skincare advice and insights into her dermatology practice.

Dr. Lee is married to Dr. Jeffrey Rebish, a fellow dermatologist. They have two children and co-own their dermatology practice, Skin Physicians & Surgeons, in Upland, California.
