Schistoceratidae is a family of gastropods in the superfamily Cerithioidea. This family is within the clade Caenogastropoda, which is a large diverse group of medium to large sea snails. The family Schistoceratidae is known for its unique shell structure and diverse habitats.

The family Schistoceratidae was first described by the malacologist Henry Augustus Pilsbry in 1922. The family is currently recognized in the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi (2005).
