Serdang Hospital is a government-funded multi-specialty hospital located in Sepang District, Selangor, Malaysia. It was founded in 2006 and has a total of 763 beds. The hospital serves the population of Serdang, Putrajaya, Kajang, and Bangi.

Construction[edit | edit source]

Serdang Hospital was built with the purpose of serving the population of Serdang, Putrajaya, Kajang, and Bangi. It has a total area of 129,000 square meters and was constructed at a cost of RM690 million. The hospital is part of the electronic hospital network planned by the Malaysian Government.

Design[edit | edit source]

Serdang Hospital was designed as a 'hospital of the future'. It is the first hospital in Malaysia to use aluminium coating for its exterior, giving it a shiny appearance. The hospital also utilizes a futuristic cooling system to maintain temperature and reduce electricity usage.

Other unique features of Serdang Hospital include its steel structure, modular operating theaters, and a rooftop garden covering 5 acres of the total landscape area. The hospital also incorporates autoclave light concrete blocks in its construction.

Serdang Hospital is affiliated with Universiti Putra Malaysia and is a teaching hospital.
