Selangor
Selangor is one of the 13 states that make up Malaysia. It is located on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia and is bordered by Perak to the north, Pahang to the east, Negeri Sembilan to the south and the Strait of Malacca to the west. Selangor surrounds the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, both of which were once under Selangor's territorial sovereignty.

The history of Selangor is rich and complex, with influences from various historical periods and cultures. The state's history can be traced back to the 15th century when it was part of the Sultanate of Malacca. After the fall of Malacca, Selangor was ruled by the Sultanate of Johor until the 18th century. In the 19th century, Selangor became a British Protectorate under the Federated Malay States.

Selangor is the most developed and populated state in Malaysia, with the largest seaport and airport in the country. The state's geography is characterized by a flat, coastal plain running along its western edge that rises to meet the Titiwangsa Mountains, part of the larger Tenasserim Hills range, on its eastern border.

Selangor's economy is diverse and dynamic, with a strong focus on manufacturing, commerce, and tourism. The state is home to several major industrial areas such as Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya, and Subang Jaya. Selangor is also known for its agricultural products, particularly palm oil and rubber.

The culture of Selangor is a blend of traditional Malay, Chinese, and Indian cultures, with influences from the various ethnic groups that make up its population. The state is known for its traditional arts and crafts, such as batik and songket weaving, as well as its vibrant food scene, which includes popular dishes like Satay, Nasi Lemak, and Roti Canai.
