Serhiy Honchar
Serhiy Honchar (Ukrainian: Сергій Гончар) is a former professional road cyclist from Ukraine, known for his time-trialling ability. Born on July 3, 1970, in Rovno, Ukrainian SSR (now Rivne, Ukraine), Honchar became one of the most prominent cyclists of his era, particularly in the time trial discipline.

Honchar's professional career spanned from the mid-1990s to the late 2000s, during which he achieved significant success in both individual time trials and stage races. His major achievements include winning the Time trial World Championships in 2000 and 2004, showcasing his prowess against the clock. In the 2006 Tour de France, Honchar wore the Yellow Jersey as the leader of the general classification after a dominant performance in the individual time trial stages.
