Sina Tamaddon
Sina Tamaddon is an Iranian-American business executive and former senior vice president of Applications for Apple Inc.. He is known for his significant contributions to the development of Apple's key products and services.
Early Life and Education[edit | edit source]
Sina Tamaddon was born in Iran and later moved to the United States. He completed his undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley and later earned a master's degree in the same field from Stanford University.
Career[edit | edit source]
Tamaddon began his career at NeXT, a computer and software company founded by Steve Jobs. He worked there until the company was acquired by Apple Inc. in 1997. Following the acquisition, Tamaddon transitioned to Apple, where he held various leadership roles.
As the senior vice president of Applications, Tamaddon was responsible for the development and management of Apple's software applications. He played a crucial role in the creation of several key Apple products, including the iTunes music store, iPhoto, and iMovie. His work significantly contributed to the success and growth of Apple Inc.
After leaving Apple, Tamaddon became a managing director at Elevation Partners, a private equity firm that invests in intellectual property and media and entertainment companies.
Personal Life[edit | edit source]
Tamaddon is known for his philanthropic efforts. He is a member of the board of trustees for the San Francisco Symphony and the American Foundation for Equal Rights, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and advancing equal rights for every American.
