Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center is a large hospital located in Lima, Ohio, United States. It was founded in 1918 by the Sisters of Mercy, a Roman Catholic order of women founded by Catherine McAuley in Dublin, Ireland in 1831. The hospital serves a 70-mile radius around Lima and is part of the Mercy Health Partners healthcare system.

In addition to the main facility in Lima, St. Rita's Medical Center operates separate facilities in Delphos, Bluffton, Glandorf, and Wapakoneta, providing rehabilitation, orthopedic, and other medical services to different parts of the region.

The hospital has a rich history of expansion and development to meet the healthcare needs of the community. In 1948, a seven-story addition was completed, adding modern operating, delivery, and X-ray rooms, as well as more office space and 150 additional beds. In 1977, the hospital changed its name to St. Rita's Medical Center after 59 years as St. Rita's Hospital.

In 2007, St. Rita's opened "The Medical Center of The Future," transforming the campus into a university-like environment with covered walkways, ponds, water fountains, gardens, and a track for walking and running. The Medical Center also prioritizes the involvement of families in the healing process, providing spacious and aesthetically appealing rooms with glass atriums, greenery, and decorative water details.

The Henry & Beverly Hawk Heart Center expanded its services in 2008 and became The Henry & Beverly Hawk Heart and Vascular Center, offering comprehensive heart and vascular care.

With its long history and commitment to providing quality medical care, Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center continues to serve the healthcare needs of the Lima community and surrounding areas.
