Stash Tea
Stash Tea is a tea company based in Tigard, Oregon, a suburb of Portland. Founded in 1972, the company has been a part of the tea industry for over four decades, providing a variety of tea products to consumers worldwide.
History[edit | edit source]
Stash Tea was founded by Steve Lee, Dave Leger, and Steven Smith in 1972. The company's name was derived from the founders' desire to create a "stash" of great tea for personal use. The company started as a small retail store, selling loose leaf tea and related products. In 1975, the company began to expand its operations, focusing on the wholesale of specialty teas to grocery stores and other retailers.
Products[edit | edit source]
Stash Tea offers a wide range of tea products, including black tea, green tea, herbal tea, oolong tea, white tea, and decaffeinated tea. The company also offers a variety of flavored teas, such as chai tea, mint tea, and fruit tea. In addition to tea, Stash Tea also sells tea accessories, including tea pots, tea cups, and tea infusers.
Sustainability[edit | edit source]
Stash Tea is committed to sustainability and ethical business practices. The company sources its tea from certified Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance certified estates, ensuring that its products are produced in a manner that is both environmentally friendly and socially responsible.
