The chain was founded in 1982 in Columbus, Ohio, and has since expanded to locations across the United States and internationally.

History[edit | edit source]

Steak Escape was founded by Ken Smith and Mark Turner in 1982. The first location was opened in the Eastland Mall in Columbus, Ohio. The founders' goal was to bring the authentic taste of Philadelphia cheesesteaks to the Midwest. The chain quickly gained popularity and began expanding to other locations.

Menu[edit | edit source]

The menu at Steak Escape primarily consists of cheesesteaks, but also includes other items such as grilled sandwiches, fresh-cut fries, and salads. The cheesesteaks are made with 100% sirloin steak, grilled fresh to order, and served on a fresh roll. Customers can choose from a variety of toppings and sauces to customize their sandwich.

Steak Escape has locations across the United States and internationally. The chain has a strong presence in the Midwest, but also has locations in the South, Northeast, and West Coast. Internationally, Steak Escape has locations in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Singapore.
