- Stearns County is a county in the U.S. state of Minnesota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 161,075. Its county seat is Saint Cloud. The county was founded in 1855 and named after Charles Thomas Stearns, a local politician.
Geography[edit | edit source]
- Stearns County is located in the central part of Minnesota. It is bordered by nine other counties. The county has a total area of 1,390 square miles, of which 1,343 square miles is land and 47 square miles is water.
Demographics[edit | edit source]
- As of the 2020 census, there were 161,075 people, 56,060 households, and 37,147 families residing in the county. The population density was 120 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the county was 92.9% White, 2.4% Black or African American, 0.5% Native American, 2.0% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.7% from other races, and 1.4% from two or more races. 2.4% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

CentraCare also operates numerous specialty services, including the CentraCare Heart & Vascular Center, Coborn Cancer Center, and the CentraCare Kidney Program.
