Steve Wozniak

Steve Wozniak (born August 11, 1950), also known by his nickname "Woz", is an American electronics engineer, computer programmer, philanthropist, and technology entrepreneur. He is best known as the co-founder of Apple Inc., along with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne.

Wozniak was born in San Jose, California, to parents of Polish and Swiss-German descent. His interest in electronics sparked at an early age, and he spent his formative years learning about and experimenting with electronics.

Career[edit | edit source]

In 1976, Wozniak, along with Jobs, founded Apple Inc. Wozniak was the primary designer of the Apple I and Apple II computers, both of which had a significant impact on the microcomputer revolution.

In 1985, Wozniak left Apple, although he remains an employee and receives a stipend. Post-Apple, he has been involved in various business and philanthropic ventures, focusing mainly on technology in education.
