Stillwater County is a county located in the U.S. state of Montana. As of the 2010 United States Census, the population was 9,117. Its county seat is Columbus. The county was founded in 1913.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Stillwater County spans 1,805 square miles and is located in the south-central area of Montana. It is bordered by Carbon County to the south, Yellowstone County to the east, Golden Valley County to the north, and Sweet Grass and Park Counties to the west.

As of the 2010 census, there were 9,117 people residing in the county. The racial makeup of the county was 97.7% White, 0.4% Native American, 0.3% Asian, 0.1% Black or African American, 0.5% from other races, and 1.0% from two or more races. 1.9% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
