Styphnolobium is a genus of flowering plants in the family Fabaceae, subfamily Faboideae. It is native to warm temperate to subtropical regions of East Asia and North America. The genus was previously included in the genus Sophora, but recent genetic studies have led to its reclassification.

Members of the genus Styphnolobium are deciduous trees or shrubs. They typically have pinnate leaves with numerous leaflets. The flowers are usually white or yellow and are borne in racemes. The fruit is a legume, which is often constricted between the seeds.
