Susan Boyle
Susan Boyle (born 1 April 1961) is a Scottish singer who gained international fame after appearing as a contestant on the third series of the British television talent show Britain's Got Talent. Her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, was released in November 2009 and became the best-selling debut album of all time in the UK.

Susan Boyle was born in Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland, to Patrick Boyle, a miner and World War II veteran, and Bridget Boyle, a shorthand typist. She was the youngest of four brothers and six sisters. Boyle was briefly deprived of oxygen during a difficult birth, resulting in mild brain damage. She was later diagnosed with Asperger syndrome.

Early Career[edit | edit source]
Boyle took singing lessons from vocal coach Fred O'Neil and attended Edinburgh Acting School. She performed at local venues and participated in various singing competitions, but her career did not take off until her appearance on Britain's Got Talent.
Britain's Got Talent[edit | edit source]
In 2009, Boyle auditioned for the third series of Britain's Got Talent. Her performance of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical Les Misérables stunned the judges and audience, leading to widespread media coverage and internet fame. She finished in second place in the competition.
Post-Talent Show Success[edit | edit source]
Following her success on Britain's Got Talent, Boyle signed a recording contract with Syco Music. Her debut album, I Dreamed a Dream, was released in November 2009 and topped the charts in the UK, the US, and several other countries. Boyle has since released several more albums, including The Gift (2010), Someone to Watch Over Me (2011), and Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs from the Stage (2012).

Boyle continues to live in her family home in Blackburn, West Lothian. She is known for her charitable work and has supported various causes, including children's charities and organizations for the elderly.
