Swedish interactive thresholding algorithm

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellnesspedia

The Swedish interactive thresholding algorithm (SITA) is a method for measuring visual acuity, which is the ability to see fine details. SITA is used to measure visual acuity in people with moderate to severe vision loss, and it is designed to be more efficient and less time-consuming than traditional visual acuity tests. The SITA algorithm uses a series of questions and prompts to guide the patient through the test, allowing them to indicate their level of visual acuity more accurately. The algorithm also includes a number of features that help to reduce the impact of visual field loss, glare, and other factors that can affect visual acuity.
