SweeTango is a brand of apple that is a hybrid of two other apple varieties, the Honeycrisp and the Zestar. It was developed by the University of Minnesota's apple breeding program and is known for its crisp texture and sweet-tart flavor.

The University of Minnesota's apple breeding program began developing the SweeTango in the late 1990s. The goal was to create an apple that combined the best qualities of the Honeycrisp and Zestar varieties.
