Sybil (1976 film) is an American television miniseries that was broadcast in 1976. It is based on the book Sybil by Flora Rheta Schreiber, which tells the true story of a woman (identified in the book as Sybil Dorsett) who was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly known as multiple personality disorder).

The film follows the life of Sybil Dorsett, a school teacher who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. Sybil's psychiatrist, Dr. Cornelia Wilbur, helps her to recall and confront her terrifying childhood memories, which led to the fragmentation of her personality.

The film was critically acclaimed and won several awards, including an Emmy Award for Outstanding Special - Drama or Comedy for Field's performance.
