TACV (Transportes Aéreos de Cabo Verde), now known as Cabo Verde Airlines, is a scheduled and charter, passenger and cargo airline based in Cape Verde. It is the national flag carrier of Cape Verde, operating inter-island services and flights to Europe, North America, South America and West Africa. It is headquartered in Praia, Cape Verde's capital city.

TACV was established in 1958. During the early years, it was a public company and served as the national flag carrier with a monopoly on the international and inter-island air transport. In 1983, TACV began international flights, and during the 1990s, opened up its capital to private investment. In 2019, it was rebranded as Cabo Verde Airlines.

Fleet[edit | edit source]

The TACV fleet consists of Boeing 757-200 and Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The airline's fleet is equipped to provide short-haul and long-haul flights, offering a high level of comfort and safety to its passengers.

Destinations[edit | edit source]

TACV operates inter-island services in Cape Verde and international flights to Europe, North America, South America and West Africa. Some of its popular destinations include Lisbon, Paris, Amsterdam, Boston, Fortaleza, and Dakar.

TACV offers a range of services to its passengers, including in-flight entertainment, a loyalty program called Club TACV Frequent Flyer, and special assistance for passengers with special needs.
