Terri S. Armstrong

Terri S. Armstrong is a renowned neuro-oncologist and nurse researcher, known for her significant contributions to the field of brain tumor research. She is currently serving as a Senior Investigator in the Neuro-Oncology Branch at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Armstrong completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Texas at Austin. She then pursued her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Armstrong later earned her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.

Armstrong's career in neuro-oncology began at the MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she worked as a nurse and researcher. Her work primarily focused on improving the quality of life for patients with brain tumors. She later joined the Neuro-Oncology Branch at the NCI, where she continues to conduct research on brain tumors.

Armstrong's research interests include understanding the impact of brain tumors on patients' cognitive function, quality of life, and symptom management. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in these areas and has been recognized for her contributions to the field.
