Thérèse Dion's contribution to her daughter's career and her involvement in various charitable activities made her a well-respected figure in both the entertainment and philanthropic communities.
Early Life[edit | edit source]
Thérèse Tanguay was born in Quebec, Canada. She grew up in a modest family and was known for her strong work ethic and deep devotion to her family from a young age. She co-wrote the song "Ce n'était qu'un rêve," which helped launch Céline's career when she was just 12 years old. Beyond her contributions to her daughter's career, Thérèse became known in her own right as a television personality. She appeared on various Quebec television shows, offering cooking and parenting advice, and became affectionately known as "Maman Dion" to the public.

Thérèse Dion's philanthropic efforts were notable. She founded the Fondation Maman Dion in 2006, an organization aimed at supporting underprivileged children in Quebec by providing them with educational materials and clothing. Her commitment to children's welfare and education reflected her deep belief in the importance of supporting the next generation.
