The Anatomical Record is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that covers the field of anatomy. It was established in 1906 and is published by John Wiley & Sons. The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentaries in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, and neurobiology.

The Anatomical Record was established in 1906 by the American Association of Anatomists (AAA). The journal was initially published by the Wistar Institute of Anatomy and Biology, but in 2009, it was transferred to John Wiley & Sons.

The Anatomical Record covers a wide range of topics in the field of anatomy. It publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentaries in the areas of molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, and neurobiology. The journal also publishes special issues on specific topics in anatomy.

Abstracting and indexing[edit | edit source]

The Anatomical Record is abstracted and indexed in PubMed, Scopus, and the Science Citation Index. According to the Journal Citation Reports, the journal has a 2019 impact factor of 1.634.
