The story follows Dominique "Dom" Chabol, a seasoned support rider, or "domestique," who has spent his career helping his team leader win races. As the 1998 Tour de France begins, Dom is unexpectedly dropped from the team. However, he gets a second chance when another rider is injured. The film delves into the physical and emotional toll of professional cycling, as well as the personal sacrifices made by athletes.
