The Reckoning is a 2020 British horror film directed by Neil Marshall. The film stars Charlotte Kirk, Joe Anderson, and Steven Waddington. It is set during the Great Plague of London and follows a woman accused of being a witch after the death of her husband.

The film is set in 1665, during the Great Plague of London. After the death of her husband, Grace Haverstock (played by Charlotte Kirk) is accused of being a witch by her landlord, Squire Pendleton (played by Steven Waddington). Grace is subjected to a series of brutal interrogations and tortures led by the witchfinder, Moorcroft (played by Joe Anderson). As she endures these trials, Grace must confront her own inner demons and the dark forces that surround her.

The film was directed by Neil Marshall, known for his work on The Descent and Dog Soldiers. The screenplay was co-written by Marshall, Charlotte Kirk, and Edward Evers-Swindell. The film was produced by MovieBox and Fourth Culture Films.

The Reckoning premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival on August 20, 2020. It was later released in the United States on February 5, 2021, by RLJE Films.

The film received mixed reviews from critics. Some praised the performances and the atmospheric setting, while others criticized the screenplay and pacing.
