Thinner is a 1996 American body horror film directed by Tom Holland, based on the novel of the same name by Stephen King. The film follows the story of a lawyer who is cursed by a gypsy and begins rapidly losing weight.

The film centers around Billy Halleck, a successful lawyer who accidentally runs over an old gypsy woman with his car. Despite his attempts to cover up the incident, he is acquitted in court due to his connections. However, the woman's father, Tadzu Lempke, places a curse on Billy, causing him to rapidly lose weight. As Billy's weight continues to drop at an alarming rate, he seeks out a way to break the curse. With the help of his wife and a local gypsy, he embarks on a journey to confront Lempke and lift the curse before it's too late.
