Thomas Hinde
American physician and pioneer
Thomas Hinde (1737 – September 28, 1828) was an American physician and pioneer who played a significant role in the early history of the United States, particularly in the state of Kentucky. He was known for his medical practice, his involvement in the American Revolutionary War, and his contributions to the settlement and development of the American frontier.

Thomas Hinde was born in 1737 in Oxford, England. He was the son of a clergyman and received a classical education. Hinde studied medicine in England before emigrating to the Thirteen Colonies in North America.

Thomas Hinde passed away on September 28, 1828, in Mount Carmel, Illinois. He was buried in the Hinde family cemetery, leaving behind a legacy of service and pioneering spirit.
