TriStar Pictures, Inc. (stylized as TRISTAR) is an American film production and distribution company that is a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, a subsidiary of Sony Group Corporation. The company was founded in 1982 and is headquartered in Culver City, California.
History[edit | edit source]
TriStar Pictures was established in 1982 as a joint venture between Columbia Pictures, HBO, and CBS. The collaboration was intended to pool resources and share the financial risks of producing films.
