Truth is a 2013 American political drama film written and directed by James Vanderbilt. The film is based on the memoir "Truth and Duty" by Mary Mapes, a former producer for the news program 60 Minutes. It stars Cate Blanchett as Mapes and Robert Redford as Dan Rather, the anchor of 60 Minutes at the time.

The film follows the events surrounding a controversial news report aired by 60 Minutes in 2004. The report, produced by Mapes and her team, alleged that President George W. Bush had received preferential treatment during his service in the Texas Air National Guard. The authenticity of the documents used to support the story came into question, leading to a media firestorm and the eventual resignation of Rather.
