Tuaminoheptane

Tuaminoheptane is a nasal decongestant that is used in the treatment of nasal congestion and sinusitis. It is a sympathomimetic amine that works by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal passages, thereby reducing swelling and congestion.

Pharmacology

Tuaminoheptane acts as a vasoconstrictor by stimulating the alpha-adrenergic receptors in the nasal mucosa. Tuaminoheptane is a racemic mixture, meaning it contains equal amounts of two enantiomers.

Side Effects

Contraindications
