Turner County is a county located in the U.S. state of South Dakota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,347. Its county seat is Parker. The county was established in 1871 and named for John W. Turner, a member of the Dakota Territory Legislature.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 617 square miles (1,600 km²), of which 617 square miles (1,600 km²) is land and 0.2 square miles (0.52 km²) (0.03%) is water.
