UCL Neuroscience
UCL Neuroscience is a research domain that encompasses the breadth of neuroscience research activity across University College London's (UCL) School of Life and Medical Sciences. The domain was established in January 2008, to coordinate neuroscience activity across the many UCL departments and institutes in which neuroscience research takes place.

UCL Neuroscience was established in January 2008, with the aim of bringing together the wealth of neuroscience research expertise present across UCL's departments and institutes. The domain was created to provide a unifying structure for the many disparate neuroscience groups within UCL, and to promote and facilitate collaborative work.
Research[edit | edit source]
Research within UCL Neuroscience is broad and encompasses areas such as cellular neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, computational neuroscience, molecular neuroscience, neuroimaging, neuropathology, neuropharmacology, and systems neuroscience. The domain is home to over 450 principal investigators and receives around £130 million of research funding each year.

UCL Neuroscience comprises several institutes and centres, including the UCL Institute of Neurology, the UCL Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, the Ear Institute, the UCL Institute of Behavioural Neuroscience, and the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit.

Several notable neuroscientists are associated with UCL Neuroscience, including John O'Keefe, Semir Zeki, Ray Dolan, and Karl Friston.
