United Hospital

United Hospital is a 556-bed non-profit hospital located in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is part of Allina Health and serves the eastern Twin Cities metropolitan area. The hospital offers a range of specialty services including pregnancy care, behavioral health, cancer care, heart and vascular services, orthopedics, and neuroscience. United Hospital has been providing healthcare services to over 200,000 people annually. It is also the main hospital for the United Heart and Vascular Clinic.

History: United Hospital was originally established in 1877 as St. Luke's Hospital. In 1972, it merged with Charles T. Miller Hospital to form United Hospital.

Peter J. King Emergency Care Center: In April 2011, United Hospital opened a new emergency department in collaboration with Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota. The center is named after Peter J. King, founder of King Capital and the Peter J. King Family Foundation. It features private examination rooms, secure psychiatric rooms, a decontamination area, and private patient care and family areas.
