University of New South Wales
The University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney) is a public research university located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1949, it is a founding member of the Group of Eight, a coalition of Australian research-intensive universities, and is renowned for its strong emphasis on scientific, technological, and professional disciplines.

The University of New South Wales was established in 1949 by the New South Wales government to meet the growing demand for tertiary education in the post-war period. The university was originally known as the "New South Wales University of Technology" and focused on engineering and technology-related disciplines. The first classes were held in 1949, and the university was granted its current name in 1958.
Campus[edit | edit source]
UNSW's main campus is located in the suburb of Kensington, approximately 7 kilometres from the Sydney central business district. The campus is known for its modern architecture and extensive facilities, including the UNSW Library, the UNSW Roundhouse, and the UNSW Business School.
