University of Northern Philippines

The University of Northern Philippines (UNP) is a public university located in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. It is known for its strong emphasis on medical education, among other academic disciplines. Established on June 19, 1965, UNP holds the distinction of being the oldest state university in Northern Luzon. It was created through the enactment of Republic Act No. 4449, which aimed to provide higher education opportunities in the region.
