University of the Visayas

The University of the Visayas (UV) is a private university located in Cebu City, Philippines. It was established in 1919 by the late Don Vicente Gullas as the Visayan Institute (V.I.) in the City of Cebu. The institution was granted university status by the Philippine government in 1948, making it the first university in Cebu City. The University of the Visayas offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs across various fields, including law, nursing, engineering, business administration, and education.
