University of the West Indies
University of the West Indies (UWI) is a public university system serving 18 English-speaking countries and territories in the Caribbean. Established in 1948, UWI has grown to encompass faculties and schools offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines. The University of the West Indies was founded in 1948 as the University College of the West Indies, affiliated with the University of London.
