Upright

From WikiMD's Wellness Encyclopedia

Upright refers to the state of being vertical or standing straight. It is often used to describe the posture of a person or object. In a broader context, it can also refer to moral rectitude or integrity.

Posture[edit | edit source]

Posture is the position in which someone holds their body when standing or sitting. An upright posture is considered healthy and beneficial for the body. It helps in maintaining the correct alignment of the body parts supported by the spine and muscles. Poor posture can lead to various health issues like back pain, neck pain, and other musculoskeletal problems.

Upright (music)[edit | edit source]

In music, an upright is a type of piano. It is also known as a vertical piano. The strings and soundboard are vertical in an upright piano, perpendicular to the keys, and thus the piano has a smaller footprint and is more suitable for smaller spaces.

Upright (TV series)[edit | edit source]

Upright is an Australian drama series that premiered in 2019. The series is about two misfits, thrown together by chance in the middle of the Australian desert, who forge bonds in a quest to transport a precious piano from one side of the country to the other.
