(u-rot'-ro-pin), (CH 2 ) 6 N 4 , hexa- methylentetramin; obtained by action of formaldehyd on ammonia. A uric-acid sol- vent. Daily dose 8-30 gr. (0.5-2.0 Gm.). U. Quinate, used in gout and as a uric-acid solvent.
